As child care worker and a full time Mother I am very aware of the problems you can come across when there are E numbers in foods and drinks and as My little boy has a sensitivity to E numbers I am always looking at labels etc to ensure that I am not giving him any foods which contain these. How ever I thought Robinsons where very child friendly and I have always seen on your products that you have 'NO Artificial Colours or preservatives etc' so I thought I would be safe buying Fruit shoots for my son as He really likes them. He has been having them for the last few weeks as it is the only thing I can get him to drink due to being very ill with the flu etc so I thought well at least he is getting fluids down him. For the last few weeks his behaviour has changed and he has become very 'Hyperactive' and he is not his usual self. After racking my brains for days and days trying to think what he could have had that has upset him I decide to check the label on your Fruit Shoot drinks only to find the first E numbers I read is E211 which turns out to be Sodium Benzoate which just so happens to be the main e number that children react to and that my son reacts to very badly. I am very disappointed as I trusted Robinsons to be a 'safe' drink to buy for my little boy and now I have been proven wrong.
Why do companies like your selves have to add this particular e numbers as well as others into your drinks? I know it can't be necessary as it isn't in your fruit and barley juices that you make!!
Is there no way that you can make these fruit shoot drinks without them in. I understand that you may need some of them but surely you know the ones that children and some adults react to especially E211 Sodium Benzoate.
