Stop Highway 100 Lane Expansion in Hales Corners

As citizens of the Village of Hales Corners opposed to the expansion of Highway 100 though our community, we insist that plans to broaden the current 6 lanes in any fashion be stopped in order to preserve the historical integrity of our small village and the viability of our businesses which we rely upon on a daily basis. We further request that legislation be enacted by the State of Wisconsin to stop the lane expansion project suggested by the Department of Transportation and instead focus efforts on reducing congestion and improving safety along Highway 100 through Hales Corners without destroying the "Main Street" of our community, our existing business core, or our sense of being a unified and historically significant village.
