Stop Proposals to MOT fail our Modded Cars

There has been news readings lately of proposals to MOT fail all cars who have vehicles with any type of modification not applied from factory. We as Car Enthusiasts along with everyone involved in this market who run businesses for our parts to upgrade, oppose this proposal made. The DfT have enquired about the proposed plans, but it would only affect not just us as car fans but also the industry as to which modified and performance car companies rely on us for. There is also the addition of all the other companies who aid the market in some way from modified shops, performance and upgrade shops to historical replacement upgrades. There are signs where we get branded by 'the same brush' and associated with all young boy racers as everyone calls them, but we are enthusiasts with love for our cars. This is our passion and hobby. We dont see ourselves as thugs with illegal cars, we see ourselves as passionate people who wish to share our passion with others in a peaceful and LEGAL way of life. So this petition is to oppose the proposal to try ban modified cars. We have hobbies as much as everyone else, and deserve the right to express our love for cars by modyfying them in the way we see special to our hearts, but keeping it legal and obeying road laws as we always have done. Lets get this signed and put to the Department of Transport (DfT) to show our support.
