Stop the disrespect of our values

The Arabic Media industry has witnessed a massive boom over the past few years, specially in the Satellite Television sector (primarily due to the decrease in Satellite broadcast costs and some legislations to liberate the sector from governmental dominance). However, the increase in quantity was not accompanied by any improvement in quality, on the contrary, it is obvious that the quality has dropped considerably to an unacceptable level.

Due to the massive increase in Arabic TV channels over the last couple of years, unfortunately, controllers of those channels chose the easy way and did not think of their social responsbility towards their nations and the criticality of the tool they are operating. Therefore, the vast majority of these channels ended up being exhibitions for cheap, dirty, disgusting and anti-atristic (strip shows) under what they call (Modern Video Clip).

We would like to express our deepest disappointment with such acts which contradict with the most basic values of our Arab society, and ask the controllers of these channels to respect the values of the society they are operating in, appreciate the intellect of their auidences, and stop immediately this wave of impairing the image of the wonderful Arabic art and music.

Unless our values are respected, we will boycott your channels, and explain our opinion to everyone we know, we will boycott any artist who would decide to use such cheap, inappropriate paths to fame rendering all there efforts useless, and we will boycott any products or companies advertising in those channels..

We are looking forward to your kind cooperation in improving and promoting our precious values, and that you can really be an effective, positive player in the Arabic Media.
