On 28th March 2007, the "Daily Mail" newspaper exposed the horrific slaughter of dogs & cats for human consumption at the Three Birds' Market in Guangzhou, China.
The article entitled, "Back in barbaric business - the caged cats of China", can be found at: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=445260&in_page_id=1811
I enclose a copy of the newspaper article, so please take a look.
The cats & dogs are kept crammed into cages until a customer chooses the animal which is then bludgeoned with an iron bar & taken away by restaurant owners who buy them by "the sackload" to use in "delicacies" such as Dragon Soup.
The article states there "at least" thirty stalls at the market that specialises in dogs, & one stallholder sells around 500 dogs per month for human consumption.
We, the Undersigned, call upon you to use your power to put a stop to this barbarism.
There are hundreds of thousands of people worldwide who are appalled by this inhumane treatment of animals, & so we call upon the members of the free world to draw up a World Animal Rights Bill (to stop the suffering of animals such as those at the Three Birds' Market), & have the courage to enforce it.
