We, the undersigned, call on the Secretary of State to reject the planning appeal application of Domino’s Pizza at 261 Bethnal Green Road, for the following reasons
1. Yet another pizza outlet is contrary to the Council’s promotion of healthy eating
2. The local area is already served by many excellent, locally owned and staffed meal outlets on Brick Lane and the surrounding area. There is already a Pizza delivery shop within line of site of the proposed development as well as many low quality fast food establishments in the area.
3. The proposed Dominos is on the edge of a conservation area. The associated use of a fleet of motorcycles will cause noise pollution, increase traffic congestion and be a hazard to pedestrians and cyclists.
