We, the signers of this document, oppose Valley Christian School's current statute limiting the length of young mens hair to the middle of the ear, over the eyes or over the top of the shirt collar (Direct Quote). We feel that this rule is an outdated extension of church theology in the mid-twentieth century. We stand behind the recent change of rules regarding sandals, and request that VCS will lift the ban on the length of mens hair in similar fashion. We agree that absurd colors and hygiene will remain a factor in the decisions regarding mens hair. The creation of this document is a testament to TINKER v. DES MOINES SCHOOL DIST.
