The Novato Community Supports the Whole Foods-Pini Mill Project
I, as a resident of Novato, enthusiastically support the Whole Foods-Pini Mill Project for three major reasons:
1. I support Whole Foods coming to Novato because it is the worlds leading retailer of natural & organic foods. Whole Foods will bring the healthy food options that Novato desperately wants, will allow me to reduce my fuel consumption, pollution, and wasted time by not driving long distances to grocery shop.
2. I support this mixed-use/smart growth development because it will take the pressure off of sprawl in the outlying areas of Novato and will help create an exciting, safe and secure community where people can live, work and socialize in the downtown area.
3. I support the downtown location of the project because it meets the requirements of both the Downtown Specific Plan and the Downtown Redevelopment Plan, and because it will be the catalyst to begin the revitalization on the largest, most dilapidated site in the heart of downtown. It will also attract other high-quality retailers that Novato needs in order to become economically healthy.
For these reasons, I strongly urge all members of the Novato City Council to support this project so that Novato can become the vibrant, economically healthy city it was meant to be.
