We, the people of New South Wales, strongly urge the Government of New South Wales to bid for the International Exposition scheduled for 2017 or 2018 with the Bureau of International Expositions. Expo will be an economic boon as well as a morale lifter for Sydney, provide jobs and advertise Sydney to the rest of Australia and the World.
Further to this, we strongly urge that White Bay be chosen as the site of this Exposition, citing its proximity to the CBD, ease of access via Metro Light Rail, ferry and bus. If Sydney waits too long, the inevitable redevelopment of White Bay may leave Sydney with no suitable site to host an Expo and we may therefore miss out.
