Sydney Harbour Dredging Petition

We are urging the provincial government to commit to the dredging of the Sydney harbour. If the Dexter government supports the proposed $38 million project it will serve as a catalyst for economic growth in Cape Breton. There are many benefits to the development of the Sydney port including thousands of jobs for the local area, key economic spin-offs, increased external investment and tax revenues for government. Delaying the project may put the container terminal plan at risk. The dredging activity is the first step in a strategic plan that will help build a modern economy for Cape Breton.

We have to act now....inaction is unacceptable. Please sign our petition and let the government know that we support the harbour dredging project.
