President Bush:
In response to the tragic events relating to the tsunami, I was considering how to help the countries and people who were affected.
My request to you is that the approximately $ 40 million that is being raised for the presidential inaugural balls be redirected to the United States' disaster relief package, instead of spending it on gala parties for your contributors, supporters, congress, etc. The effect that this would demonstrate to the international community would be one of generosity on the part of the United States. In our global economy, we must all sacrifice during times of disaster.
I appreciate your consideration of this proposal.

Since we have $32 billion to commit to the Tsunami victims why do we still have poor and homeless men, women and children in the USA? Please use some of that money to provide additional shelters, etc. for them too.
