Vote for the Disco Biscuits to Play Again in Fayetteville Arkansas

We, the undersigned, ask The Disco Biscuits to play another fabulous concert in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Hook it up!

WHEREAS
The Disco Biscuits are one of the hottest live touring bands, playing unique trance-fusion music that is extremely fun to dance to;

AND WHEREAS
The members of The Disco Biscuits are talented musicians who are very entertaining to watch as they create their music on stage, augmented by a fantastic light show that enhances the visual experience of their concerts;

AND WHEREAS
The Disco Biscuits first performance in Fayetteville, Arkansas, was at Chester's Place on 8/15/1998 and the setlist was,
1: Awol's Blues, Morph Dusseldorf, All Blues, Shem-Rah Boo, Basis For A Day
2: Vassillios > Soul Sacrifice, Norwegian Wood, Jamillia, Boogie Stop Shuffle, Mr. Don, Magellan;

AND WHEREAS
Magner (keys) and Brownstein (bass) have subsequently mentioned the version of *Mr. Don* from Fayetteville 8/15/98 as one of the best memorable versions;

AND WHEREAS
The band members enjoyed their first visit to Fayetteville and were treated with local hospitality among the Ozark mountains of Northwest Arkansas. They enjoyed lunch at The Pesto Cafe. They doled out several copies of then-new Uncivilized Area CD, and folks soon traded analog tape copies of the show recorded at Chester's, leaving everyone wanting more of this mind-blowing music;

AND WHEREAS
Nearly 30 people attended 8/15/98 at the closing of Summer Tour (a last-minute booking on their way back East) and all of the lucky attendees have been spreading the word about that legendary show for the several years since, so we expect the audience would now be multiplied twenty-fold or more;

AND WHEREAS
Some of the Arkansas Disco Biscuits fans went so far as to form a Committee For The Disco Biscuits In Fayetteville, because it will be so great when it happens. These fans started this petition and a companion website at http://www.netspace.org/~dgold/bisco/ dedicated to bringing the Disco Biscuits back to Fayetteville. These fans want to do mad volunteer street team efforts to help make it a huge success and a true Bisco experience in Fayetteville;

AND WHEREAS
In 2002 the CD "Senor Boombox" by The Disco Biscuits was in the Top 30 Heavy Rotation on KXUA 88.3 FM Fayetteville (student radio at the University of Arkansas) and received a lot of well-deserved airplay for songs like *Jigsaw Earth*, *Hope*, *The Tunnel*, *Float Like A Butterfly*, *Floodlights*, and *Floes*. Daniel Gold plays The Disco Biscuits almost every week on Honest Tunes radio show on KXUA 88.3 FM Fayetteville http://www.kxua.com Tuesday nights 8-10PM CST;

AND WHEREAS
Fayetteville, Arkansas, is in a prime location en route to surrounding suburbs and tourstops like St. Louis, Kansas City, Lawrence, Denver, Tulsa, Austin, Dallas, Oxford, M.E.M.P.H.I.S., and Little Rock;

AND WHEREAS
There are many fine music venues and festivals in the Fayetteville area, and the town is known for its love and appreciation of music. A good-sized venue for The Disco Biscuits now would be Dave's On Dickson http://www.davesondickson.com near the University of Arkansas;

AND WHEREAS
