We, the Students of Old Dominion University request that the music in Webb Cafeteria be turned off. The volume is too loud and students have to yell over the music to speak to one another. Jazzy lounge music has its place, but not a university cafeteria. The music is harmful in two major ways:
1) The music is distracting to those who wish to study and take time to relax in between classes.
2) The music is driving students away from Webb Center as a place to eat and is disruptive to social interaction.
We kindly request that the University, and those responsible for the Webb Center music, cease play of the loud and distracting music.
