In the name of all residents of Lebanon, the Lebanese irrespective of their beliefs, the Palestinian refugees, the foreign workers with вlegalв or вillegalв status, the Syrians, Iranians, and all other foreigners living on the Lebanese territory, we condemn the movie of Charbel Khalil entitled вSo that the martyr doesnвt dieв because it provokes hatred and violence and encourages the act of murder. We also condemn the conscious and purposive free distribution of this movie.

We demand the following:
в A public apology by Charbel Khalil and all those who participated in the making of this movie to all people residing on the Lebanese territory and to the souls of unarmed civilian martyrs who were murdered by the rifles and the knives of the fighting militias on the Lebanese territory and those who were the victims of the collective massacres and confessional and ethnic cleansing in more than one place in Lebanon.
в Consider this petition, attached to it a copy of the movie, the article of Jihad Bazzi published in Assafir newspaper on 18/1/2006 and other articles, if they exist, as a report that we present to the Lebanese Judiciary to act according to the Lebanese laws that prevents confessional provocation and punishes the provocation of violence.
в Invite all lawyers, people of law, human rights organizations, and local committees to react and file a law suit against the makers of this film, its producers and funders on the charge of provoking confessional confrontations and encouraging violence and hatred.
