"1,000 Iranian Jewish Leaders in Los Angeles Endorse and Support Paul Koretz for City Council"

As you may know, there will be a run-off for the LA City Council seat on the Westside on May 19 (the seat covers Westwood, Century City, Bel Air, Beverlywood, Sherman Oaks, Encino, etc). On behalf of the Host Committee, I would like thank those of you who came out and supported Paul Koretz on April 23rd. However, there is much more work to be done.

The candidates are Paul Koretz and David Vahedi. Paul is Jewish, has a long history of being involved with the Jewish and Iranian Jewish community, has served in public office as an effective State Assemblymember and W. Hollywood City Councilman, and is generally respectful of business and development. His opponent, Vahedi, is an Iranian Catholic who is vehemently opposed to any real estate development, gains support primarily from neighborhood councils, and has little public service experience. If Koretz does not win, it would be the first time in years that the city counsel will NOT have a jewish representative. Vahedi has been promoting that he is jewish and that the "majority" of Jewish leaders back him. This cannot possibly be true.

The goal of this petition is to simply demonstrate that over 1,000 Iranian Jewish Leaders in Los Angeles Endorse and Support Paul Koretz for City Council. Please take a minute to sign your name and forward it to your friends and family. Also, please be sure to vote for Paul Koretz on May 19th.
