Everyone accepts that problems occur but Eurostars handling of the whole episode was a farce. Passengers were provided with little or no information. At Disneyland Paris, passengers were forced by police to wait in a freezing cold area of the station for over 4 hours with no access to food, drink or heat - a situation that was only resolved when passengers forced their way into the offices with small children and babies to stop them freezing to death. The train station staff refused to speak to the British Consul on the telephone. There were no Eurostar staff in the station for the whole weekend.
Eurostar could easily have organised a fleet of coaches to get passengers to Calais - THEY DID NOTHING.
If Richard Brown refuses to resign then we call upon the government to intervene.
Furthermore we call upon Eurostar to provide compensation to all passengers, not just those who were stuck in the tunnel.
