"Adventues Of Superman" DVD Campaign

Superman Web Central is campaigning for a DVD release from Warner Home Video of the legendary 1950s television series "The Adventures Of Superman". This was the most famous incarnation of the Man Of Steel for the "baby boomer" generation, as well as making George Reeves famous.
What we are seeking is a multi-volume DVD release of this legendary series...completely uncut and remastered from the original 35MM master elements, in Dolby Digital 2-channel mono (the original sound mix), and in original broadcast order (beginning with the theatrical film "Superman And The Mole Men", which sold "The Adventures Of Superman" as a series), with audio commentary from television experts and, wherever possible, the surviving cast members from the show (Jack Larson and Noel Neill). Also, the original commercials from the show's sponsors, background information on the episodes, cast and crew list, DVD-ROM content, original television trailers, publicity, production notes on each episode, and photographs.
As an added treat, the DVDs could include, as they were on the VHS releases, selected Max Fleischer cartoons (this would mark the first-ever official release of the classic 1940s shorts). They would also include, on the first volume at least, a special documentary on the making of "The Adventures Of Superman" television series.
The DVDs can be sold either as a series of box sets or as individual double-disc sets that are affordable to Superman fans.
This is an early crown jewel of the Superman aura that has yet to surface on DVD format. If you are a true Superman fan, please support this campaign and bring this classic piece of Superman history to digital format.
