Allow Sunday Gun Hunting In Hamilton, Ontario

There are roughly 150 municipalities that allow hunting with a gun on Sunday. Every year a handful of municipalities pass Sunday gun hunting. Hamilton is not one of them! Why?
A few points
1) The original Sunday ban was religiously based, which is now seen as discriminatory. (Bans on Sunday shopping have been universally removed.)
2) You can hunt on Sunday with a bow.
3) You can shoot a gun on Sunday for target practice.
4) It will bring tourism to the Hamilton District from hunters hunting in Hamilton.
Given that, what logical argument could there be for not allowing gun hunting on Sunday?
