An open letter to LiveNation, Organisers of Download Festival...

To whom it may concern;
Before I begin on the rant that is inevitably going to follow, Id just like to express on behalf of myself and Scumface our immense gratitude for the opportunity we were given by LiveNation this year. We had a brilliant time playing the barbecue and we couldnt be happier with how it went, so many thanks for all your help it will always, always be appreciated.
I wish I could remember the number of times Ive insisted online petitions dont work and I was proven absolutely wrong so Im writing in the hope that lightning does indeed strike twice in the same place.
Theres nothing wed love more than to come and play Donington again in 2008, with a bit more practice and preparation to show you all what were made of, and I suppose its very much a case of you dont ask, you dont get so Id like to cheekily propose the following;
We (Scumface) would like to play on the Download Festival lineup as opposed to a barbecue event. Its really up to the public whether or not they believe we have proven ourselves worthy of this, but what we have proven is we can bring a crowd and keep them entertained!
Were not fussy rockstar types, wed gladly play anywhere youd put us on the bill and give it our absolute all This includes of course the boardie BBQ where wed be immensely happy to play again if theres no room for us on the lineup! Were not here to make any demands!
I have this time made this petition public domain rather than within the forum, this is to allow anyone to sign, regardless of whether they are a member of the Download Festival forums.
Ive been told, and I believe that Scumface have some real relevance to the heart and soul of this community and if youd be willing to give us a chance wed not let you down. You've seen what we can do and so I've decided to keep youtube links etc. out of the letter this time.
