To Whom it May Concern:

While looking at the list of availible AP courses, it has come to my attention that there are no Asian-related classes currently offered as an AP course. I have also noticed that a lot of the courses and exams offered are centered around European studies (i.e. German, French, European History).

In today's world, Asians make up a large percentage of the world's population, and Asian countries are recieving larger roles in the global economy. It would be most helpful if Asian courses were offered as AP classes. Because of the growing role of Asians, there is a greater need to participate in Asian Studies in order to be more aware and interactive with Asians.

European and American history has been taught to all students (not only the students taking AP European History), and what is taught of Asia is very limited. It would be a great experience to expose students to the diverse and intriguing cultures, languages, and history of the Asian people. The addition of such classes will create diversity in the high school curriculum!
