Bike racks needed in Albion Works development

All residents of Albion Works, I put to you that a complex of this size should provide secure bicycle storage. With such a close vicinity to town and lack of parking for every flat in the complex I believe that a lot of people like to use bicycles as they are cost effects ecological and useful for trips into town or to work. I see from my flat that people keep their bicycles on their balconies, this isn’t very convenient as they have to but put into the lifts to get them upstairs and wheel down corridors and through their flat (most of which are rented properties). There is lots of outdoor space available to add in bicycle racks. The underground parking stairwell is covered in locked up bicycles and any bicycle left outside is either rip to pieces (see the bicycle frame left under the stairs next to the car park entrance) or stolen completely. I have been informed that sometimes they bin all the bicycles that are out of the way in the entrance to Block A, I think this is a disgrace, they are out of the way and wouldn’t be there if there was somewhere better to keep them. So this is a petition to appeal the Carr and Hume to add in some secure bicycle storage somewhere in the complex if they don’t want bikes in the corridors anymore.
