FedEx believes that they can force me to pay $233.02 for the shipment of a package from Ontario, Canada to Nigeria. However, I was a victim of an Ebay scam. This scam has already made me lose out on $450 (Canadian) and now FedEx expects me to pay an extra $233.02 in shipping charges. I am a struggling student who could not afford to be scammed in the first place and I find the fact that a multi-million dollar company is refusing to provide a solution to my problem extremely sickening.
The person who scammed me and purchased my item agreed to pay for the shipping of an item to Nigeria with a FedEx account number. However, this account number was created from an unknowing person (who has contacted FedEx about this problem). So, it would appear that FedEx has accepted a fraudulent account number and still continued to deliver my package without informing me. I also did not receive payment from the buyer.
I find the fact that they expect me to pay the shipping cost extremely disgusting and I would like to ask for any signatures that support this belief. Thank you.
