For the past several years, peppermint has been part of your yearly red cups tradition. Along with toffee nut, peppermint has become a reason for many of your loyal customers to look forward and share the holiday cheer with their favorite coffee shop.

This year, as we count down the days to our favorite Christmas tradition, we were saddened by the news that Starbucks Philippines will no longer be offering peppermint this year. Instead, it will be replaced by praline, last year's "new drink" offering.

As much as we, your partners, welcome new additions to the already loved selection of drink offerings, we would very much appreciate it if you retain the drinks that we have grown to love. The red cups has already been a tradition for us. Along with a new drink and the traditional toffee nut, peppermint have been part of that tradition that we look forward to.

Peppermint for us very much spells Christmas. It is a kind of drink that is undeniably a mirror of the festive Christmas air. How many times have you heard your customers say that a cup of peppermint transports them to a cozy lodge in a snow capped mountain top, or simply reminds them of that cuddly feeling you get when you cuddle up amongst your loved ones laughing at memories of the past holidays? If you haven't, then you ought to listen to your customers more.
