We, the Supporters of Celtic Football Club, wish to express our disapproval with the handling of the Club's business by the Celtic FC (plc) Board of Directors.
The Board fails to understand its purpose in the Club.
The Board fails to see that it runs the business aspect of Celtic FC.
The Board fails to see that to run a successful business, it must acquire assets and diminish liabilities.
The Board fails to see that by not working with the Club Manager, Martin O'Neill, it will lose its second largest asset.
The Board fails to exploit a deflated transfer market, by not releasing funds to strengthen a depleted squad that could compete in the UEFA Champions League.
The Board fails to see that doing well in the Champions League would generate income.
The Board has failed to release the funds to replace the retired playmaker Lubomir Moravcik.
The Board has also failed to release the funds to sign a replacement for the forward Henrik Larsson, despite knowing of his departure for well over a year.
The Board fails to show the drive to build a winning club.
The Board fails to see that successful business is not done in "financial prudence", but in "financial strategy".
The Board needs to recognize the grievances of its customer base and address them appropriately. If they are not willing to do what is necessary to run a club that its support can be proud of, then the selection of board members needs to be reconsidered.
