Dear Commissioners,
This is to bring to your attention that in the course of the last two weeks, coinciding with the anniversary of the Iranian students uprisings in Iran, under suspicious circumstances Hot Bird Satellite Company has suddenly knocked off the 2 most watched opposition US-based satellite TV programs, Pars TV and Channel One TV, from beaming inside Iran. This is whilst the Islamic Republics state-owned Broadcasting channels, IRIB continue to fill US airways with anti-US and anti-west propaganda 24/7, every day of the year.
As Iranian Americans dedicated to protect peoples Freedom of Speech and Human Rights, we strongly request an immediate and comprehensive investigation into this matter as the two mentioned IRI opposition TV channels are renowned for their echoing of political as well as civil issues of the Iranian people worldwide and hence very popular inside Iran.
Furthermore, we request that the FCC and the US government consider the immediate suspension of all IRIB media transmissions inside United States while this issue is being investigated.
