Discrimination against Bosnian radio show in St Louis

On August 6, 2006 Radio BiH-St. Louis broadcasted on 770AM frequency was removed from its regular program. As verbally explained by the owner of this radio station, Mr. Sima Birach, staff members of this radio show, which include Muris Bajric, Fatmir Alispahic, and Amir Hotich, were accused of promoting hatred within the Bosnian community here in St. Louis by mentioning genocide and atrocities committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was suggested that genocide needs to be forgotten and people need to move on with their lives without looking back into the past. We initiated this petition in an effort to show Missouri state representatives, representatives from the U.S. Congress, and representatives from the U.S. Senate, overwhelming support from the Bosnian community for our radio show. This petition will be forwarded to the owner of this station Mr. Sima Birach as a proof that his actions were biased and discriminatory. Discussions about genocide and atrocities committed in Bosnia had a purpose of presenting true and historically proven facts as demonstrated in Resolutions 199 in U.S. Congress and Resolution 134 in the U.S. Senate, both drafted in 2005. This petition will also show that individuals representing our community as presidents or any other illegally elected officials or organizations are wrong to accuse us of being radical, fundamentalists, and Islamic radicals. Any words accusing us of being such are strongly condemned and opposed and work directly against the best interests of the Bosnian community in St. Louis. Our mission remains to be promoting truth and justice, and we will continue to remember genocide and the atrocities committed against our people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, our mission is to prove that Bosnia is a country made up of all three ethnic groups and it can only exist as such.



With my signature, I give my full support to the staff of Radio BiH-St. Louis, and I condemn actions of the owner, Sima Birach, who acted against the best interest of the Bosnian community and its people. American people and all Missourians should be aware of discriminatory actions taken against us, which are the same actions that killed our loved ones and forced us out of our homes. We pledge our full support to the staff of Radio BiH-St. Louis, Muris Bajric, Amir Hotich, and their reporter Fatmir Alispahic and hope their work and dedication will continue so they can inform our community about our beloved Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sime Biracha, ekipa ovoga radija koju saиinjavaju Muris Bajriж, Fatmir Alispahiж I Amir Hotich je optuena da sije razdor i mrnju u BH-St Louis zajednici, da spominjemo posljednji genocid kao neto to moramo zaboraviti I krenuti naprijed ne osvrиuжi se na prolost. Mi pokreиemo ovu peticiju I elimo je pokazati svim politiиarima drave Missouri I zastupnicima drave Missouri u Congressu I Senatu. Osim toga, ova peticija podrke Radio BiH St Louis жe biti upuжena I vlasniku WEW770AM Gospodinu Simi Birachu kao dokaz da njegove optube na raиun nas I spominjanja naega zadnjega genocida nije imalo nikakvu drugu namjeru do spominjanja istinskih I historijskih dokazanih иinjenica koje su I dokazane rezolucijama 199 u US Congessu I 134 u US Senatu 2005 godine. Isto tako, ova peticija daje do znanja da ljudi koji predstavljaju nau zajednicu kao predsjednik ili nelegalno izbrana organizacija nemaju pravo da nas optuuju kao radikale, fundamentaliste I islamiste. To su veoma teke rijeиi koje se veoma lako mogu manifestirati loe po nas I nau zajednicu u St Louisu.

Uz ovaj potpis, ja dajem podrku ekipi ovoga radija I osuрujem vlasnika Simu Birach da je nastupio diskriminatorno protiv nae zajednice, naroda I nae historije. Narod USA I dravi Missouri mora biti upoznat sa diskriminatornim ophoрenjem upravo onih subjekata koji nas otjerae sa naega ognjita, pobie nae najmilije I jo nam naredjuju da utimo I zaboravimo.

Ja dajem podrku ekipi Radija BiH St Louis Murisu Bajriжu, Amiru Hotich u I njihovom reporteru Fatmiru Alispahiжu kako bi se njihov rad nastavio I иlanovi BH Zajednice u St Louisu ponovno poиeli dobivati pravedne I iskrene informacije iz nae Bosne I Hercegovine.
