Do not censor Ewan McGregor in Sony's "Young Adam"

It is difficult to find a PG-13/R rated movie today that does not contain a scene of female nudity, most likely to attract the male audience. A female nude scene is welcomed if even encouraged. Scenes of massive violence will also attract audiences. However, a male nude scene is a different thing entirely, and Sony Classics has decided to remove a scene from the American release of the film "Young Adam" , starring Ewan McGregor, in which McGregor briefly appears nude. This is as much about precedent as it is about art. A director creates a work of art, and intends for the audience to see the finished product. Removing this scene is roughly equivalent to putting a cloth over Michelangelo's statue of David. The rest of the world will see the complete film, but Sony has removed five minutes of footage (only a few seconds of which contain the nude scene) from the American release to protect us from seeing McGregors front side. McGregor made an excellent point in stating: "It does amuse me, the horrific violence that comes out of American cinema. But someone's c**k is too much. If I'd blown away 5,000 people with a semiautomatic machine gun, that would be fine. But I showed my penis."
For the sake of art, censorship, and precedent, I strongly encourage you to sign this petition and to tell Sony you will not donate your money to such patriarchal, hypocritical, and senseless censorship.
We hereby state that we are disgusted by this ridiculous choice to censor this piece of art and strongly disapprove of Sonys decision. We insist that this movie be left untouched for American audiences as it has been for the rest of the world.

Rate it "R" and call it a day. No censorship please. I'm a straight guy but if I can see boobs and...Other stuff, lol, then I can handle the penis. I won't stare at it but let it be there. :)
