We, the homeowners in Sooke, British Columbia, request that bylaws or policies should be put in place to protect owners of manufactured and mobile homes located in designated "Mobile Home Parks".
As tax paying homeowners we request that, in the event of the residential land in a designated mobile home or trailer park being sold for redevelopment, there be an "entitlement clause" regarding a payout of fair market value, assessed by an unbiased appraiser, to be paid to each homeowner in the park at the time of eviction with notice being given at least 6 months prior. The individual lots could also be offered to the mobile homeowner at fair market value. If the homeowner wishes to buy, then the past five years of pad rental should be considered a down payment.
