We, the undersigned, would like to formally appeal to Power 106 (KPWR) in Los Angeles and/or its parent companies to reinstate the Old Skool Show (aired at lunchtime and various other times over the past decade) hosted by Jeff Garcia. The urban/rhythmic stations in the Los Angeles radio market have become nearly indistinguishable in playing the same popular songs (often a top 15 or top 20 format) for weeks on end. Shows like Garcia's highlighted an era of hip-hop that is often considered a golden period for the genre, and not only helped break up the monotony of endless "current" hit spins, but also provided an incredible nostalgic experience for hip-hop listeners throughout the southland.
We implore you to please consider bringing back the show, which would continue a legacy at Power for dedication to the genre as a whole as opposed to what's hot at the moment.
