Freedom of Religious Expression in the United States

I have decided to start a petition to send to the ACLU (www.aclu.org), senators, Congress, President Bush, and other political authories.
On the ACLU website, it states, about religious freedom, the following:
"The right of each and every American to practice his or her own religion, or no religion at all, is among the most fundamental of the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. The Constitution's framers understood very well that religious liberty can flourish only if the government leaves religion alone."
Most of you have heard about the Ten Commandments case, where they ruled it unconstitutional to have them posted in courthouses. I have also heard recently, that in some areas, they will not allow the Pledge of Allegiance to be recited in school because of the phrase, "one nation under God." This, and many other examples, show that the government IS meddling with our religious freedom! By not declaring these things unconstitutional, they declare that our "state religion" is atheism.
My petition is that when the government or political authorities says that the expression or influence of Christianity is unconstitutional, THEY are being unconstitutional by declaring that we must follow atheism, unless it won't offend anyone to do otherwise. My petition is to protect our religious freedom!
Please check your grammar, spelling, and punctuation in your signature. We want to keep this petition as neat as possible.
Thanks for your help in protecting our religious freedom!
Sincerely,
Ms. Ailene R. Hert
