This is a petition to demand that the Minister of Education Gerard Greenan and his Department install condom machines into our junior and senior high schools! Having condom machines in schools is not promoting sex, it only promotes the proper usage of condoms among sexually active students. Currently our youth are being taught abstinence and postponement of sex as ways of protecting themselves from STIs and unwanted pregnancies. Since the average age of first intercourse in Canada is now 16 1/2 it's obvious that abstinence-based programs are ineffective. Keep in mind that this is just the average, there are students who have become sexually active at younger ages. With this petition we know our youth will not just be able to access condoms, but access in a confidential manner.

With all of the teenage pregnancies i think this will be beneficial for our youth. It isn't promoting sex it is promoting safe sex. It gives the option to youth to have a safe option. Our kids are not all innocent at this age and that is something we need
