The Pittsburgh public school system in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Has a Requirement for seniors of the school System, to complete a project of 60 hours, in order to graduate. This is a recently new Requirement and it is depleting the graduating class of the school system. Originally the project was due for presentation in the beginning of May, of the students senior year. This past School year, the Project was pushed back from May, to January. This year the projects are due the end of September/ Early October. We Seniors Get a month to complete our project after summer and we feel this is unfair. I ask all students to sign this petition in order to rule out the Project requirement completely. We seniors have much to worry about in our senior year as it is. We must choose a college, most seniors have jobs after school in order to save up for their college education, we must worry about getting a decent SAT score in order to impress the college of our choice, and we must also worry about the class requirements to graduate. This graduation project is an unnecessary requirement that does not help the senior class, but takes focus away from more important things, and also keeps many seniors from graduating on time. We petition to stop the Graduation project requirements,
Sincerely, the Undersigned.
