We, the undersigned, entreat you, Capcom, to create Breath of Fire V in a way that is reminiscent of the earlier Breath of Fire titles. By this, we mean to ask for a turn-based role playing game. The series is one of your most respected RPG titles (excluding Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter). As fans of the title, we miss the sheer nostalgia and the enchantment of playing the games. As quoted from Capcom-unity.com, on March 21st, 2010, Breath of Fire still holds a special place in our nostalgic hearts. It was one of our first RPG loves, and we still swoon to think of it. If this is true, then we share similar interests. In Japan, Breath of Fire III was a game that would go on to sell 425,000 copies in the region in 1997, making it the 24th most-bought game that year. As quoted from GamePro Magazine, Breath of Fire III was, "a very enjoyable RPG in which sure craftsmanship is easily evident". Later, the english version would sell 230,000 copies in its first year. Wed certainly be willing to spend our money on this title, but only if it was similar to Breath of Fire I-IV. By this, we mean that the game should be a turn-based RPG with much to be explored and discovered in the games world. This is lacking in many RPG titles of today. Final Fantasy I-X, Paper Mario, Golden Sun, and Dragon Quest have gained their steady success from the turn-based style. If there wasnt a market for turn-based RPGs anymore, Pokйmon and Dragon Quest games would be failures in the market. Wed also like music similar to Breath of Fire III & IV. Music, for example, like Marvel vs. Capcom 3, or Street Fighter 4 [Techno/Beatmania] would not be the best tastes for this game. Jazzier themes with definite Zen influences are what we are accustomed to in these titles. Wed also like to request a Nina (fairy) character and a Tiger-man/woman. As a given, there should be a spiky, Blue-haired dragon-hybrid character named Ryu. He should have a sword, sword techniques, and the ability to become different dragon types. Wed also like to see a return of combination dragons. Along with these, wed like to see fishing and fairy villages return to the game. This added different elements to the gameplay for a richer experience. It was a change-of-pace from the average RPG. We dont want to tell you how to make your game, but to miss any of these qualities would strip the game of its unique style. Thank you for your time. We hope to see a new game to immerse ourselves in once again.
