We the people of this United States demand that prison guards, police and any others holding jobs that oversee our people, uphold the eighth Amendment and that they be punished to the fullest extent of the law. We demand tougher sentencing for these guards, police and all others who abuse their authority and do not uphold the eighth amendment.
The Supreme Court has held that prison guards violate the eighth amendment when they show deliberate indifference to rape and other abuses within our prisons, yet these abuses and deliberate indifferences are still happening every day. The guards and police use excessive force against prisoners and people, they continue to show deliberate indifference, they lie, they cheat, they take bribes and turn their backs on rape and abuse within our prisons and they continue to get away with it.
We have had enough! We demand that these people be punished to the maximum extent of the law and not be permitted to hold such a position in the future. We want tougher sentencing for these guards and police and any one in authority over our prisoners and the public who abuse their authority.

There are laws for abuse under the color of authority. When there is a conviction most often the punishment is merely a slap on the hand. Unlike the 2 + million prisoners in the US who are punished with vengence, no slap on the hand. It's time to hold tho
