Recently several allegations were made against the current Shelter Manager and Shelter President. This includes criminal complaints, as well as general problems, which question the ethics of those in charge.
Labeling themselves as a Humane Society comes with great responsibility to the public community and the animals in which they are there to serve.
There are also several board members serving on the current board which turned a blind eye to the allegations made and did nothing in which to investigate, but helped by removing two board members and terminating two employees for speaking out and demanding to search for the truth.
It is our belief, as yours in signing this petition, that all Board Members including the current President and Shelter Manager step down from their positions and turn over the handling of the GCHS, Inc. to the two board members in which they removed, for proper elections to be held.
This shelter and its board needs to be returned to people who will put the animals first and agree to conduct every effort with that main goal in mind.
There is no room within the shelters walls for a blatant disregard for the care and concern of the animals, which the facility and its name, should be protecting.

We've been trying to adopt a dog from Greene County humane society for almost 3 weeks and now we know why we can't! This is ridiculous. You have to LOVE animals to be able to be on a board as such! Get them off and put the right ones in charge!

I took in one of the dogs (puppy) from this shelter. He was so sick I thought he would die! He is now a (healthy) fabulous pet and companion!!
