As of January 2008, it will be illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to recive a tattoo in the state of Iowa. We are outraged at this unfair and discriminatinative law. We belive that if we are no longer minors and we can live on our own, own a home, a car, and go to war and die horribly, we should at least have some form of control over our bodies. Tattooing is a beautiful and expressive artform that is an important part of Iowa's underground culture. To take away this artform would cause tattoo and piercing shops to suffer business losses, as well as cause a terrible health risk as teens will attempt to find other unclean and dangerouse ways of piercing and tattooing themselves. We refuse to let our forms of self-expression to beccome subject to law. The legal age to recive a tattoo in Iowa should remain 18!

how can you deny a legal adult the right to take part in one of the oldest and most beautiful forms of art we have why not ban people under 18 from goin to museums for some of the violence and nudity next thing is banning finger painting from 5 year olds

I belive it is wrong to say at 18 someone is an adult in the eyes of the legal system yet there are still restrictions set on them as to what they can do with there bodies by proposals like this one. If the goverment wants to say that 18 means adult then
