Keep Perry Away From The Kids

With the announcement of Favorite Song was announced, they provided a list of song that, while entertaining, should not be aimed/geared towards the young minds. Specifically, Katy Perrys I Kissed A Girl.
This is a song that is sung by a somewhat talented woman about kissing another member of the same sex. As an adult, we know exactly what message is being sung in this song but our young kids (many of whom still dont believe that girls should like boys or boys liking girls) will hear this song and only get I kissed a girl and I liked it. This is blatantly putting out a message from a kids-aimed network that regardless of what sex or age of the viewer, kissing a girl is completely acceptable and encouraged.
This is not about the song as some people may like it and could be listening to it at this moment. This is about the fact that this song is being thrown into the faces of our young minds. Many parents try to keep their young kids away from such songs until they are able to realize the message behind the music but Nickelodeon is trying to overrule the parent by making it a Best Song nominee.
If Nickelodeon allows this song to win Best Song, we will be forced to stop our kids from watching their television network and take our business elsewhere to a more kid/family friendly channel.
