We, the undersigned residents of Canada, draw the attention of the Minister to the following:
THAT the Rodolfo Funes Family, of Surrey, British Columbia, are good and true neighbours contributing in a meaningful and positive way to our community and country;
THAT to return the Funes Family to EI Salvador against the very spirit and purpose of Canada's immigration policy;
AND FURTHER, THAT returning the Funes Family to El Salvador presents a very real threat to their lives.
THEREFORE, the petitioners call upon you, as Minister of Immigration of Canada, to intercede on behalf of the Funes Family and permit them to remain in Canada.
