We here in Rhode Island have one of the largest parades located in Bristol,R.I. We just finished our 221st parade. Woot!
Known Facts: (http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/012.html)
There are: "STATES THAT ALLOW SOME OR ALL TYPES OF CONSUMER FIREWORKS (formerly known as class C fireworks), APPROVED BY ENFORCING AUTHORITY, OR AS SPECIFIED IN LAW (39 states and the District of Columbia)." For listings see above link.
Rhode Island is 1 of 5 states listed under the section: "STATES THAT BAN ALL CONSUMER FIREWORKS (including those which are allowed by CPSC regulations) - (total of 5 states)."
Other Known Facts: The CPSC (http://www.cpsc.gov/), makes it more dangerous than what it really is simply because:
A.) People will continue to light them as they have always done, making breaking the law an added and uneeded situation, added to this note.. Traveling across state lines is yet another uneeded situation.
B.) People have in the past and will continue to make "Homemade" fireworks, therefore increasing injury and other uneeded situations.
Please sign the petition to legalize fireworks in the state of Rhode Island! We have hundreds if not thousands to come here to see our parade and fireworks, there is no reason we shouldn't have it leagalized! We will do it anyways... So help us out and show them that we cannot and will not be pushed around! We have to make our stand on this issue, our freedoms are slowly being taken or controlled, and i say it's time we do the controlling. Do you? If yes, then please sign the petition.
