I am signing this petition to keep Jimi the border collie alive. I am also protesting the use of the word pitbull to describe his breed.
Jimi has no history of violence or aggression, including the unfortunate incidient at the dog park. Gus did not die from a bite inflicted by Jimi, what happened that day was an accident. He did not have a mark on his body.
In addition, Jimi has been accused of being a pitbull. He was adopted into a loving family from the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society as a border collie cross.
Jimi's caregivers made a bad judgement call taking him to the wrong side of the dog park. Charges for this are acceptable. Jimi losing his life are not.
