MC909 OS v.2

If these bugs are not addressed, we vow to re-evaluate our relationship with Roland Corporation, and will refrain from buying or endorsing any new Roland product. The following are known 909 problems that still have not been corrected with the latest OS:
PROBLEMS/BUGS:
1. Patches/Effects do not sustain, they cut out when switching to different patterns.
2. Overwriting and saving of RPS settings do not work properly. New settings won't be stored. User sounds (internal and card) wont be stored with RPS settings as well.
3. By using PATCH EDIT, unsaved Pattern changes will be lost (and VICE VERSA). Users of other Roland sequencers are familiar with this annoying issue.
4. ON/OFF switching of the FX is saved with the pattern, but will not be the same when loading the pattern again.
5. When in part mute on/off mode, if you press the buttons for part 6 and 13, only one of those tracks will be muted (O.S. 1.2)
6. Sequencer routing INT/EXT does not work properly.
Internal sound plays when switched on BOTH (correct), INT (correct) but as well, when switched on EXT (bug).
7. OS upgrade instructions on Rolands US/UK site are not specific enough.
SUGGESTIONS:
1. More sample Loop Types such as LOOPBACK.
2. NOTE RANGES so the 4 patch tones can be split and zoned without wasting tracks to accomplish the same task.
3. An Undo feature in Sample Edit menu
4. An UNDO shortcut, i.e. Shift +Button.
5. EFFECTS Save: A bank for saving User Effects or templates.
6. Editing of the sequencer while running
7. MEGAMIX ala the MC505.
8. Auto-BPM calculator in Sample Menu, ala SP808.
9. Ability to real-time record from a specifiable measure number or measure range. Or alternatively, make fast-forward/back available in Real-time Record.
10. A SAVE ALL function.
11. Ability to partition SM Card into folders A-D.
12. More C1/C2 assignable parameters in MFX1/MFX2.
Finally, Roland needs to improve 2-way communication with its users and English-speaking subsidiaries. AKAI, for example, listens to suggestions from user communities, a result of which is a stunning v2 OS update for the MPC1000. If AKAI is doing this for their lowest MPC model, why isnt Roland doing the same for a product retailing at $1795? Improvement is needed.
