We, the students of Hillsborough county, hereby petition to have high school exam exemption reinstated on a merit-based system; wherein students' good scholarship would be rewarded. We believe that this plan will appease all parties involved, and give students more incentive to focus on their academic learning.
We fear the annulment of exam exemptions will cause more problems than it will solve, and believe that the previous attendance-based system was antiquated and did not focus on the task at hand.
Under a new merit-based plan, students will put more attention to their studies, and would be rewarded for their hard work.
We implore you to consider the idea of a merit-based plan, and revert your decision to get rid of exam exemptions altogether.
