Mitchell College Central Mssage Board

For many semesters there has been an issue regarding the need for a central location where-by students can post and review timely communications and printed materials, by students for students, on Mitchell College campus. With the exception of progress being made to enhance communication on campus by means of the schools e-mail system, students have expressed a desire for a centrally located information board for the posting of printed materials. Currently, the proliferation of scattered, ineffective postings found around the campus in hallways, on doors, and windows, has been unorganized leading to the poor exposure of the information posted.
We believe that the Mitchell College student body(both commuter and residential) should be given a designated, centrally located posting board whereby all school and non school related postings can be submitted and viewed, with the exception of those materials deemed unacceptable by school policy, both freely and without restraint.
The areas and topics of relevance on this centrally located message board will be divided by sections and will include all areas of concern for the entire student body. These sections can and should include, but are not limited to:
Resident Student Life
Commuter Student Life
Student Club Titles, Announcements and Schedules
Entertainment/Activities On and Off Campus of Student Interest
School Politics (student suggestion box & commentary)
Etc., Etc., Etc.
We have a goal to become one body and do our part in bring balance to the learning and living experiences of all students at Mitchell College. The first step requires the help of you, the Student Activities Dept., by creating a centralized student information board as stated above.
