Mitchowki Orlem Footpath Requirement Petition

I'd like to draw your attention to Orlem, Malad(west), which receives



a lot of vehicular traffic from Link Road, SV Road, Charkop, Marve,



Malwani and so on. The traffic is so much that residents, senior



citizens and children from schools find cars, autorickshaws,



two-wheelers at the very edge of the compound walls, leaving them no



space to walk, especially during peak hours. Auto-rickshaw drivers



plying towards Malwani or Marve carry excess passengers and cause a



lot of inconvenience to people of this area. I have noticed



beautification done on dug-up dividers and some pavements all the way



from Juhu to Borivali and possibly even beyond these areas, done by



private organisations like Rahejas, Garden Court, In-Orbit etc, etc.



mainly for advertising. I suggest whoever is permitting these



organisations may reconsider their decision as these structures



endanger the lives of our own city pedestrians.
