New World Class Elementary School In East Brunswick!

Hatikvah International Academy Charter School!

Will your kids have the creativity and innovation to be prepared for the rapidly globalizing world ?

Will they have the skills to excel amid the challenge of a new global economy ?

Did you know that your child could be bilingual by 6th grade ?

What kind of school could exceed the academic standards set by East Brunswick public schools ?

What does one thing have to do with the other ?
Hatikvah ties it all together. Through the framework of the internationally renowned Primary Years Programme developed by the International Baccalaureate Organization (www.IBO.org), your children will be challenged to cultivate their creativity and develop into innovators and risk takers. In addition they will learn Hebrew as a second language.

What is the International Baccalaureate program ?
While public schools offer different honors and accelerated courses, International Baccalaureate programs are fully inclusive curriculum pathways. Drawing on research and practices from a variety of national systems, the program provides students with challenging educational frameworks for each age and ability level. Students learn how to critically evaluate information, while also learning facts and complex concepts. Students are prepared for higher education by encouraging inquiry-based lessons and activities, while developing a sense of self, culture, identity, and communication. The culmination is an education that is sought-after by the worlds leading universities.

Regarding the International Baccalaureate program:
It is the bestprep curriculum an American school can offer.
Marilee Jones, Director of Undergraduate Admissions, M.I.T.

Why Learn Hebrew as a Second Language ?
As young children have the ability to develop language skills early, educators and psychologists are encouraging the instruction of foreign linguistic studies from an early age. Unfortunately, American students in public schools lag sorely behind the rest of the world in foreign language acquisition.

From an economic and global perspective, Hebrew is becoming increasingly relevant in the world of international business as Israels influence in the world markets continues to expand; Israel is second only to the United States in having the greatest number of companies listed on the NASDAQ exchangeNASDAQ is recognized worldwide as the cutting-edge of industry developing the technology of the future.

Hebrew is considered a critical language by the National Security Language Initiative of the United States Government. In addition, Hebrew is part of the mainstream world of language acquisition in the United States. This world includes organizations such as the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language, the Defense Language Institute, and the National Middle East Language Resource Center.

Hebrew is a classical language like Greek and Latin and, through much of human history, has influenced many languages in Western culture. Etymologically, Hebrew can be found at the root of many words and constructs in English and in other languages thereby leading to a richer and more nuanced grasp of English.

Educating our children to excel and be better communicators and leaders in our ever changing world is one of the best gifts we can give them as parents. Opportunity is knocking, will you open the door?
