The Langwarrin Habitat Corridor is the land that runs along Boggy Creek. It runs along Boggy Creek and Little Boggy Creek.
This corridor runs past the Pines Flora and Fauna park, all the way through Langwarrin North of Quarry Rd down to Lexton, Where it branches off to Granite Drive, and also headed alongside Pindara Estate through Appleberry Reserve and Lloyd Park reserve then alongside Union Rd, through the Equestrian Centre Reserve and over North Road through private property all the way down to the Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve.
The corridor provides important habitat and structural connectivity for aquatic and semi aquatic fauna, birds, microbats, reptiles and both Ground and Tree dwelling Mammals. Just some of the examples that we have seen in Langwarrin are: Wallabies, Swamp Rats, Swamp Skinks, Southern Toadlets, Possums, King Parrots, Kookaburras, Echidnas and Tiger snakes.
We, the undersigned, hereby petition Frankston City Council to reject planning application 627/2016/P as we feel that the planned development of 16 Units, and removal of the existing vegetation at 29 Athol Crt Langwarrin, will have a devastating impact on this corridor.
