Background City Hall has received the formal application to permit the opening of a beer and wine store in the centre of Harewood.
Whereas - the residents oppose such a development as there is plenty access to alcohol already in our community, and;
Whereas- and the inherent social problems that come with expansion of alcohol sales will negatively affect the quality of life that we currently enjoy.
Therefore be it resolved that we, the residents of Harewood, oppose any attempt to permit a new beer and wine store at University Village in Harewood, Nanaimo, BC, Canada.
