OCI/PIO DENIED APPLYING for KARNATAKA CET 2017

OCI/PIO holders who have been residing in the state for more than 10 years and have had their schooling in the state are denied eligibility for applying to the Common Entrance Test for B.E/B Arch and various other Undergraduate courses. However, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh allow OCI/PIO holders to apply for their state entrance exams.
It is only fair that OCI/PIO are given equal educational opportunities as promised.
Last year a few parents filed a petition with the High Court and got the order in the very last minute.
But, now the KEA says that it was valid only for last year and they have no instructions for this year so far.
The last date being the 26th of this month.
Should such basic rights be obtained with so much of hardship?
