Overturning of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act

We seek for the repealing of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act or at least a reworking of the law that would not affect consenting adults. This law goes against the founding principles of this country, in so much as it limits our personal liberties. We believe that it is not for the government to tell consenting adults what they can or can not put in their bodies, and that this is a gross abuse of the governments power, when we are in a national debt that none of us will ever see ourselves out of. This law is a farce, trying to claim that it will help keep kids from smoking, while still allowing menthol (the popular cigarette of choice for teens)cigarettes to remain unbanned. We believe that it is the PARENTS duty to police their children not the government, and not at the loss of citizens personal freedoms
