Petition for Public Input on the New Waste/Recycling

We, the undersigned respectfully petition Mayor McCaslin and The Bentonville City Council to delay implementation of any new waste disposal and recycling plan, until all options to improve the plan that is in place now, have been publicized. Those options shall be outlined, in detail, in all local newspapers and in one regular city bulletin. There shall be no less than two (2) informational public meetings within thirty days after the publications. These meetings shall be open for public comment, without individual prior requests for a place on the agenda.
We further petition that the public have at least 60 days after those meetings to respond to the information received in the meeting and publications.
